We raise rare heritage longwool Wensleydale and Valais Blacknose breeding stock, from which we sell starter flocks, breeding pairs, bred ewes and wool products.

Sometimes, the things we think are imperfections are what make something special🐑🧶

We take a lot of pride in producing beautiful, high-quality yarn. So when a batch comes back from the mill with a few more slubs or variations than we expected, our first instinct is to wish it were a little more uniform.

But then our customers started telling us something different: they love the slubs.

Those little variations are part of what makes farm-produced wool so special. They’re reminders that this yarn began with a sheep—not a machine—and that natural fibers have their own character, texture, and personality.

Maybe beautiful doesn’t always mean perfectly uniform.

Sometimes, the little imperfections are what make a piece uniquely yours✨

Breeding season is just around the corner, and there’s a lot of planning that happens before we welcome lambs in the spring! 🐑

Every flock is different, and over the years, we’ve developed an approach that works best for us. We use reproductive synchronization to help coordinate breeding, plan when we want lambs to arrive, and know when to expect our ewes to lamb. Pregnancy testing then helps us prepare for the season ahead.

It’s a process shaped by years of shepherding experience, veterinary knowledge, and what we’ve learned from our own flock.
