Yount Ridge is named for George C. Yount. As the first white settler of Yountville, he discovered its beauty and generosity on a pioneering patch of land, equidistant and centered in the Valley. The Yount Ridge is part of the geographic and historically significant Yountville Hill range and original Rancho Caymus land grant that Yount was given from Mexican General Vallejo.
You will notice in the middle of the gold building on our label is what appears to be a thumbprint. It is, in fact, a compass. Our property is exactly equidistant – north and south, east and west, the ‘center point’ of Napa Valley. Yount Ridge Cellars brings you to an unbound experience of uncompromising quality, taste and hospitality. We are committed to limited production, single vineyard wines that meld time, place and winemaking expertise.
