Every detail matters in the final stretch of the growing season.

Our Martin Stelling Estate Vineyard sits quietly in the Oakville morning fog, which keeps the vineyard cool and helps our Cabernet Sauvignon ripen slowly and evenly. By afternoon, western sun reaches the vines, while shade cloths protect the fruit from the most intense rays and encourage steady ripening.

We’ve just completed a thinning pass, leaving only the best clusters on the vines as they continue to develop. Typically one of our later Cabernet vineyards, Martin Stelling is right on schedule this year, with harvest expected in late September.

Harvest has officially begun!

Chardonnay from our Berlenbach Vineyard arrived today as the first fruit of the 2026 vintage, marking the earliest harvest on record at Far Niente. We welcomed the season with Father Mark for our annual Blessing of the Grapes, a cherished tradition before the work ahead begins.

A memorable way to begin Cabernet Weekend.

Thank you to everyone who joined Winemaker Nicole Marchesi, Proprietress Beth Nickel, and Michelin-starred Chef Rogelio Garcia for our first Library Dinner in our newly refreshed Great Hall. From iconic Cave Collection Cabernet Sauvignon to a final pairing of 2011 Dolce with Basque cheesecake, it was an evening we'll be thinking about for a long time.
