Flowerwood Farm

Flowerwood Farm We are a family farm in Central Florida trying to live the farming dream! Oh and we can't forget about our flock of chickens!

We raise and breed mini to midsize Highland cattle and Nubian, and Nigeria Dwarf goats. In 1978 our mom, Dale Flowers, decided to move our family from Hollywood, Florida to Marion County, Florida and bought a 10.5 acre plot of land. A single mom with two small girls who worked hard as an operating room nurse and full time new farmer to provide for our family. Over the years, we raised dairy goats,

hogs, horses, cows, rabbits, and chicken just to name a few of the different types of livestock to live on the farm. We participated in 4H and FFA and learned so many life skills growing in the country. In 2024, mom passed away and the farm became ours. We decided that we would like to rebuild and bring some of animals to the farm. It's nice to have some livestock loaming around again.

Thank you the men in my life. My husband and my cuz Scot Flowers for starting the feed shed deck over the weekend.
Getting the ground cleared and leveled. Then digging the first tube in place and starting the pours. All in this nasty heat and humidity.
It's my job to finish pouring the concrete so we can start the deck framed this weekend. All so that pretty door leaning against the coop can get installed and giving walk through access from the house to the pastures!
