I love making cinnamon rolls and always found it somewhat difficult to roll the dough right before cutting….then I learned this great little trick! After rising, roll your dough out like usual. Spread your butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on top. Then, using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 1 inch strips and then roll each strip. Super easy and the rolls come out looking like you got them from a great bakery!

Have bread that is about to go stale? Make bread crumbs!! Tear up into pieces and place on baking sheet and pop into the oven. I put my oven on 300 and wait until pieces brown up. Take out and run through a food processor. I add a tablespoon or so of Italian seasoning and put back on the baking sheet until bread is completely dried out. I pop back into the food processor and blend it fine. Let it cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Dinner tonight is Pork Chops coated in my version of shake it and bake it. The recipe is in the pics. The recipe box is very special to me. My mom lost her battle with cancer in 2001. The writing on the front is what she always put in her cards…..it was laser engraved on the recipe box and this is her saying in HER handwriting! I see it every day and it is a constant reminder that she is always with me. Tim, at For The Little Things, did the laser engraving and did a fabulous job!
