Getting ready to go pick figs, if you didn’t get any fresh figs at the festival and would like some they will be available this afternoon anytime after 3pm.

If you weren’t able to come to the fig festival this year and would like to purchase some fig preserves I do have an online webstore. There is a flat shipping cost so it would benefit you to get with a couple fig loving friends and get together a larger order. If you order $100 or more the shipping is free, any order under $100 there is a flat shipping cost of $10

I offer homemade fig products made with organic Ocracoke figs, including sugar figs, brown turkey figs, Celeste figs, lemon figs, and Kadota figs. Good afternoon fig lovers. If you are on Ocracoke and are wanting fresh figs I highly recommend you get them this afternoon as they will most likely go very fast tomorrow and Saturday at the festival. Figs are very fragile and you can only pick what’s ripe , so each day there are a limited number to be had. Shoot me a text at 2529210263 to arrange pickup

Right now is one of the very few times when all of these varieties are producing ripe figs at the same time. From left to right Celeste (Sugar Fig), Italian Honey Fig, Brown Turkey Fig, Kadota Fig, Lemon Fig, and Black Mission Fig. If you ever wanted to have a fig tasting to see which one is your favorite, today is the day.

Also got a nice surprise of the first few Kadota figs of the year. Although these are not a fig that’s associated with Ocracoke, they are grown in my yard and are delicious. One of the few varieties that are still green when ripe. They go from a darker green to a light green and swell to much larger size and the inside is hot pink

First lemon figs of the year, hoping this rain coming doesn’t mess things up, not the most beautiful of figs , but if you know figs you know that the ugly ones usually taste the best
