Lace up those running shoes and help us clear local school lunch debt! 👟✨ Join us for the inaugural Miles for Meals Fun Run on October 10th at Lorin Farr Park. Every step, jog, or walk helps ensure our local students focus on learning, not lunch balances!

Event Details & Schedule:
Location: Lorin Farr Park (trail to Big D Sports Park and back)
6:00 AM: Packet Pick-Up & Warm-Up
8:00 AM: Race Starts!

Registration: $30 per participant (majority of proceeds go directly to school meal debt).

Group & Family Friendly! Register individually, but pay together! Group or family entries can be covered in a single bulk Venmo payment—just list all participant names in the Venmo note.

Post-Run Party Crossing the finish line is just the beginning! Stick around at Lorin Farr Park for local vendor booths, games for all ages, food trucks, and prize drawings. 🥳

Not a runner? You can still make a difference! We are actively accepting donations and looking for volunteers to help make this event a success.

What a start to the afternoon! 🍽️

Lunch today at Shadow Valley Elementary featured a classic comfort meal: country fried steak paired with warm potatoes, rich gravy, and hot veggies.

The real highlight was watching our students in action. It was so impressive to see how many of them already have their lunch numbers memorized and are seamlessly punching them into the keypads all on their own. Big kudos to our quick learners and the helpful staff keeping the line moving smoothly!

We are thrilled to announce that the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is returning for another school year!

Through this federally assisted program, participating students receive a free, healthy fresh fruit or vegetable snack twice a week right in their classrooms.
