Stay tuned for some little ducklings hatching ☺️ if you look very close there is one duckling pipping.

Pipping is the initial part of hatching that occurs in both ducklings and chicks. They first use their beak to pip through the inner membrane in their egg and then the shell. This allows them to breathe and begin working on fully hatching! After pipping the ducklings should hatch within 12-48 hours.

Check back to see their progress!

Lots of work in the garden this week! Levi put in a new watering system, our zucchini are looking like zucchini, weeds were pulled, a trellis went up for the beans and the luffas are flowering!

Here is what we will do with what we grow:
- can baby food with the zucchini and make my moms zucchini bread
- make natural bath and dish sponges with the luffs gourds
- cook kale chips for a salty snack (our oldest’s favorite) and use kale in salads
- can tomato sauce
- let our kids roam the garden and eat the beans for snacks
- mill flour from the wheat and use wheat grass in smoothies
- freeze corn
- let our kids play in OUR OWN pumpkin patch!

But that’s not all! We have watermelon, beans, peas, carrots, butternut squash, buttercup squash, spaghetti squash, green peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and jalapeños too!

What should we do with these?? Send us your best recipes and ideas!
