So today for school I got to explore and write about my Irish cultural anchors to that rebel spirit Poitín. Culturally tied it in with the post Cromwellian taxation system, the intricate network of outposts to warn distillers of approaching authorities, and how those networks aided in the revolt following the 1916 Declaration of Independence leading to Ireland's eventual freedom from British rule. Fun stuff!
