🪁 Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you least expect them!

I was out exploring Omaha when I stumbled across something I hadn’t planned on seeing—a mini-kite festival! 🍁

What started as an ordinary outing turned into a colorful reminder that you don’t always need to travel hundreds of miles or spend a fortune to experience something special.

Sometimes adventure is waiting right around the corner.

And that’s what Experience America is all about!

We smile when we’re struggling. We tell people everything is fine when it isn’t. We hide our mistakes, our fears, and sometimes even our true feelings.

But here’s something worth remembering:

We may be able to hide things from the world, but we cannot hide them from God. And His invitation to be honest comes with grace. ❤️

For today’s Faith on the Journey, I want to ask something that might require a little soul-searching.

🍬 I was SO confident I remembered these candies correctly. I did not. 😂

Growing up, I remembered Turkish Taffy being hard.

And Caramel Creams? I would’ve bet money that the white center was LIQUID.

Apparently childhood memories get a little questionable after a few decades. 😂

So we’re tasting both again and finally finding out how well I actually remember them.

We also stepped millions of years into the past for a closer look at the prehistoric giants waiting inside Dinosaurs Unearthed: A Trek Through Time.

Our nostalgic taste test continues, and this time we’re going back for Victory candy ci******es and Now & Laters.

We remember them from childhood—but remembering something fondly and actually tasting it again decades later can be two VERY different experiences. 😂

Calling Baker’s Candies a chocolate shop seriously undersells this place. 😂
The deeper we explored, the more it started feeling like the COSTCO of snack outlets—chocolates, fudge, nuts, candy and miscellaneous goodies everywhere you look.
Baker’s may be famous for its Meltaways, but there’s a LOT more to discover inside this Greenwood hidden gem.
