Happy Tuesday! Hope you all are having a wonderful start to the week. It's been a challenge here in the Omaha area with all of the storm damage to clean up and some people are still without power. Here's hoping we can all show a little kindness and patience for our neighbors. A HUGE "Thank YOU!" to all of the workers at OPPD and all tree crews for their extraordinary effort during storms like this.

So those crazy muggy days of Summer are definitely here. I’ve been so lucky to be able to bake and deliver shortbread the last couple of weeks. FUN! I have a question for all y’all. What would be your response if I were to increase the cost per packet by 50 cents? It would be to cover the increased costs of some ingredients PLUS I want to move to compostable packaging. What are your thoughts? I’m not really being pulled to the plant based plastics. They still have to be processed industrially. Probably Kraft boxes and waxed or glassine bags. 🧐 Its a process.

Hellooo! It’s been a long while since I posted here and a long while since we baked shortbread. Recently I have had the opportunity to bake for a select few again. I’ve greatly enjoyed it. Hellooooo! What a wonderful start to October. It's cool and the rain is lovely. Although it's predicted that we will warm up a bit again, it appears we are headed full steam into Fall! I love this time of year - snuggly sweaters, crunchy leaves, soup and lots of fun baking. I'm wanting to share our plans with you all. Russell is working on his Master's degree at college so time is at a premium here, at Patricia's Shortbread. We are not going to be able to commit the full amount of time it would take to go to the Holiday Market BUT we are happy and open to taking orders for holiday cookies. We will miss seeing all of you wonderful people at the market. Please, let us know what cookies you would like. The shortbread freezes and keeps wonderfully so you can order for your family, friends or work at any time. You can private message us on here or call/text 402-598-5463. It would be our pleasure to serve you. Happy Monday! Hope you all are doing well this lovely Monday! We have another bake of Almond flavor shortbread available! I’ve ordered in the lavender from France but don’t deny yourself some yummy crunchy almond cookies. Give a whistle and I will meet you. We have brought the minimum down to three boxes if 5 are too many. These lovelies freeze well and are a nice treat straight from the freezer!
