We are a working farm, so at this time we do not have open visiting hours.

It's a blank canvas. It's an open book starting a new chapter. It is sure to hold amazing possibilities and endless memories for the taking.
And the SUN is shining upon it.
.
Hello September.
I am happy to see you again.
Goodbye August!!
August has been hard.
In many ways.
Lots of lessons learned that will carry me into next year, but I’m thankful for all the blessings as well.
Memories that will shape us and some we will long to forget.
I’m moving on though.
Adjusting my focus and looking forward to September.
All I can say to August is, “see you next year and double goodbye” ✌🏻😂
Y’all have a great hump day and to all the many blessings around you. 😘✌🏻
Good morning from the Ridge!
🌅
Happy Tuesday friends. Have a great day. 😘✌🏻
I was in need of flowers.
Sadly not much is blooming right now and with all the rain we have had and will be getting, it is just too soggy and we can’t plant.
But a little posy with misfit sunflowers, lemon basil and celosia were perfect!
Of course along side a cup of happy and my spirits are renewed.
Happy Monday friends.
Pour another cup, find joy today and be thankful for all the blessings around you.
😘✌🏻
I love watching nature do her thing.
🌻
This sunflower fell over in a storm and I just left it. This particular stalk is from a Procut variety I cut weeks ago.
If you remember those are suppose to be one and done. BUT if you leave the stalk more will grow. Of course these are not great for a cut flower in bouquets, but I occasionally cut them for me.
This stalk I have simply left it alone, we mow around it, let the bees enjoy it and just let nature do her thing.
And it’s absolutely beautiful.
Happy Sunday friends.
Get outside and watch nature!😘✌🏻
Kicking off 2023 at the end of August.
It’s not a pretty picture, but it’s where our flower season begins.
Seed starting has begun!🙌🏼
In the next weeks and months ahead we will be starting more seeds and getting the flower field ready for next year.
Those shelves will soon be filled with trays of little seedlings.
We are so ready.
Happy Saturday evening friends.
Are you preparing for fall/winter planting?
Lots of new stuff in!
Y’all don’t forget fall planting.
Good morning and Happy Wednesday!!
☔️
Making my way out to the flower house to start seeds this morning.
I’m so thankful for this little building and all it’s provided us with this year. And how it will help us through the winter months and into next year.
I thought I would give an update on what’s ahead for the rest of this year.
1. I hope to continue to share bouquets with our community. I had the joy of delivering to 8 LCM teachers this week. It was kept quiet and they were chosen and surprised with a “little jar of sunshine”.
2. fingers 🤞🏻 I’ll have an abundance of sunflowers and goldenrod so we can host a PUMPKIN workshop. Basically a small carved pumpkin with an arrangement you would make to go inside the pumpkin. I’ll share pictures from last year in my story later today.
3. seed starting for 2023. So excited to be growing new flowers and fillers I’ve never grown!!!
And last but certainly not least…drum roll please 🥁
4. Opening up flower subscriptions for 2023.
Hoping to make those available in December…perfect Christmas gift to give yourself or a loved one.
💫 please note current subscription holders will have first dibs. 💫
As we get closer to December I will post details giving you a a heads up of when they will be open to the public.
Hope you all have a great day, stay dry, put on your happy face, despite the rain, and go bake cookies! 🍪 😘✌🏻
I’ll never grow tired of watching seeds germinate and grow into a beautiful flower.
🌻
We’ve had some pretty sketchy sunflower germination this year, but looky here.
😱😍
Hoping to get a couple (maybe 3) more rows planted soon.
These varieties bloom 50-60 days so I’ll gladly chance it.
Never enough sunflowers. 🌻
I guess this cutie turned in early.
🐝
He sure did pick a good spot.
🌻
So tell me, do you turn in early and get a good 8-9 hours of sleep?
Or do you stay up late?
Hope y’all had a great weekend!
Goodnight friends. 😘✌🏻
🙋🏼♀️
Hello gorgeous!
Sunrich Gold and Gulf Fritillary.

Happy Saturday!! to all the many blessings that surround you.
Have a great weekend friends. 😘✌🏻
Good morning and happy we made it to Thursday!!!!👊🏼
I want to talk jars this morning. 🫙
Many of you know I try my best to reduce•reuse•recycle here on our flower farm.
And I have been blessed with some of you bringing me your jars instead of throwing them out.
👉🏻BUT at this time I am NOT in need of jars. I have had a handful of you to bring me so many this year I am good for a while!! Y’all are awesome! reducereuserecycle
In the future PLEASE do not just drop off your jars without messaging me first. Goodwill is good for that. 😉
If you are one who saves jars all I use are 32oz jars. As well as spaghetti jars.
I don’t use vases or bottles. When and if I do it’s something I would purchase myself.
I can’t thank you enough for all the jars this year. And I love that you are helping reduce•reuse•recycle on our flower farm.
Thank you for supporting your local flower farm. 😘✌🏻
Those summer colors mixed with wildflowers and tall grasses. 😍
Summer, please stay forever.
😘✌🏻
Volunteers in the garden are so much fun!
The first picture is Celosia that I grew last year. A few weeks ago I discovered in between sunflowers there are 12 Ruby Parfait celosia plants that decided to join the party this year.
In the second picture is a white celosia that I am growing this year, but not in this row. In between these sunflowers there are over 40 celosia plants.
😱
😍
I just love seeing nature do her own thing.
Have you had the surprise of volunteers this year in your garden?
“Never look directly at the sun. Instead, look at the sunflower.”
- Vera Nazarian
Goodnight friends. ☀️🌻✌🏻🌅
Good morning and Happy Monday!
Out early harvesting a bucket of sunflowers to drop off at Orange Christian Services for clients who may come in today.
Sunflowers and smiles on a Monday can’t be beat. It brings me joy to hear how they give clients a sunflower and smiles automatically appear.
I appreciate all your support during this year of growing flowers. I would like to devote the rest of the flowers this year to non-profits or nursing homes here in Orange.
When I have an abundance it is only fitting to give back. If you have any suggestions you would like to see me give to, please let me know.
Hope y’all had a great weekend and are ready to seize this day. Make it a good one friends. 😘✌🏻
Thank you for all the support this week.
Sunflowers were in abundance and I am so thankful.🌻🌻🌻
We are taking a much needed break from all the flower things including social media. I don’t care what the algorithm says. 👊🏼
Y’all have a great weekend and don’t forget we will have sunflowers available in the morning at Orange Grove Coffee House in Orange…across from LCM High School.
We’ll chat soon friends. 😘✌🏻

Yes please! ☕️ 🌻
I just dropped off sunflowers at Orange Grove Coffee House for tomorrow.

Foggy morning on the Ridge.
Almost gave me a fall vibe…almost.
📢 I’m not ready yet!
Cooler temps with all the rain is nice, but planting can’t get done with all this rain.
When you are at the mercy of nature you learn to roll with it and move on.
These rainy days give me time to catch up, plan for fall and winter seed starting and dream of next spring.
Always dreaming…but truly a realist.
Realists can have dreams too.
But their dreams are more rooted in ambition, drive and determination…usually goals that have been thought through for some time.
But I digress.
Y’all have a great day. I’m pondering…and rambling.
🤣🌻✌🏻
But tell me where you stand?
Summer, fall, dreamer, realist?

This escalated quickly. So I went out this evening to cut the bug eaten sunflowers. The lighting was just right, temps were pleasant and I couldn’t help myself…sunset bouquet. Crushing on all these colors lately. Goodnight friends. 😘✌🏻 #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas #sunsetbouquet #flowersatsunset
Good morning and Happy Saturday to you!! After a dreary, rainy Friday the sun is out today and everything is happy. Hope y’all get a chance to #getoutside and enjoy nature today. 😘✌🏻#ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas
These have been outside at the flower stand for over 24 hours. I’ve been watching the flowers in this extreme heat. I’ve purposely left some out to see how they hold up. The results…locally grown flowers are amazingly resistant. Why? I think because they are grown in season, with NO synthetic chemicals, cut within 24 hrs before we open the flower stand (no cooler, just AC in the flower house) and travel less than 12 steps to the flower stand in the barn. #grownnotflown Buy locally grown flowers! #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas #shoplocal
We thought we would show you where you can park and how to get to the flower stand. If you are local we would appreciate you sharing this video. #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas

I am stocked up on jars! We thank you for the continued support friends! Goodnight and sweet flower friends. 😘✌🏻 #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas
Locally grown cut flowers right here in Orange, Texas. Who is old enough (like me) to remember this song? #ibelieveinmiracles
If you follow me on IG you know I have fun doing Reels. They don’t seem to be as big of a thing on FB, but this one I had to bring over to the Facebook. This is perfect! And if you spend any time outside in a garden you probably feel the same way I do. 🤣😂 Enjoy.
The FLOWER STAND will be open tomorrow, Saturday, June 11th from 9AM-12PM and 5PM-7PM Good morning and HAPPY FRIDAY! So many zinnias on this morning. I’m truly amazed at this year’s bountiful harvests. Thankful and blessed by the abundance of flowers. Needless to say there will be lots of zinnias tomorrow. I’ll post details later, just make note of the times. Have a wonderful day friends. #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas
One beach day last year I had a spur of the moment thought to take flowers to set on our table for the day. When we left that day I tossed them on the shore and watched the tide take them in. It was so beautiful I had to share on a beach group page. When I shared it I had so many people tell me how much it meant to them because they had a family member’s ashes scattered there. That touched me. So ever since, and as long as I have flower blooming, Ridgetop flowers go with us and the Gulf will take them in. Yesterday was a beautiful beach day. #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas #bolivarpeninsula
Plum sunflowers are about to be blooming!😍 Procut Plum is such a beautiful color. Muted plum-to-cream bicolor blooms. With the rain this week I may have flower pickups on different days this week. 👉🏻👉🏻And with the holiday weekend we will NOT have flowers out on Saturday, May 28th. I’ll keep y’all posted on days flowers will be available. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Goodnight friends and sweet flower dreams.😘✌🏻 #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas - - -blooms from last year in the comments.

There are lots of new people on our page so I wanted to say welcome and tell you about our flower farm and pickup days. First, thank you for following our flower farm! We are a small, working farm. My husband and I make up the work crew around here. We are not open to the public, but we try to have two days a week when flowers are available - Wednesdays and Saturdays. We will always post on FB and IG so please always check there first before heading our way. If you are wanting flowers on a different day feel free to message us and we will check availability. And keep in mind we need a day in advance notice for an order. We are so humbled by your interest in our flower farm and SO excited to be having flowers for you again this year! ✨✨This Wednesdays flower pickup will be loaded with zinnias. And yes sunflowers will be included! 😱🌻😍 #ridgetopflowerfarm #letsgrowflowersontheridge #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas

7:45 🌅 Sights and sounds at sunset on the Ridge. If only I could share smells…lemon basil. 😍 Goodnight friends. Sweet flower dreams. 😘✌🏻 #ridgetopflowerfarm #letsgrowflowersontheridge #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas #sunset
Where are my early birds?🙋🏼♀️ Would you and a few early bird friends enjoy a morning U Pick? A walk through the flower field, cutting flowers as the day comes alive and making your own bouquet. I was out walking and envisioned early morning U-Picks before the sun makes it’s way over the Live Oaks. Early morning is the ideal time to cut fresh flowers. The flowers have had the benefit of cool night air and morning dew. Their stems are filled with water and carbohydrates and so they are firm to the touch. As the day warms up, flowers gradually dehydrate. Evening U-Picks are great to watch the sunset, but early mornings watching and listening to nature is such a treat. Our U-Picks are private parties of 6-8. And details are on our website. So I’m curious if this is something you would enjoy? #ridgetopflowerfarm #letsgrowflowersontheridge #moringupickontheridge #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas
✨sound on for the day coming alive. •ranunculus •mint •woody pear tree blossoms First and foremost I am not a florist nor do I want to be. I prefer the growing process. BUT I do like to play and I sure have missed arranging flowers. The Ranunculus are still producing a few blooms. I’m not sure how well that will go with warmer temps. So I’m cutting them and probably a bit early, but they are still opening up and I’m totally loving these flowers. #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas #texascutflowerfarm
✨and so it begins✨ We did a ton of work yesterday and my body feels it this morning. I guess we could have split up the planting over a few days, but we knew we wanted a day off. Day off?🤣 But seriously I’m going to try my best to relax a little today. Happy Sunday friends. #ridgetopflowerfarm #letsgrowflowersontheridge #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas
✨HAPPY SPRING!!!✨ We are SO anxious for flower pickups on the farm again. 😍 What a beautiful day in SE Texas on this first day of SPRING! Color is starting to show up in my perennial bed and we are itching to plant the flower field. We are going to hold off until this storm passes this week and then it is full steam ahead. I hope your weather is awesome today and if you are local you better #getoutside and enjoy this glorious day. #ridgetopflowerfarm #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas
🍁give me all the leaves🍁 Our home is surrounded by 7 Live Oaks and various other trees. We have so many leaves. 😳 To those who garden leaves are like gold. We add them in our garden beds every year. Leaves improve your soil. You can shred them and add right into your garden. Next spring, your soil will be happy with earthworms and other beneficial organisms. We mow over them to mulch them up a bit, rake up and add to beds. If you mulch them, they will decompose faster. Do you save leaves and use them in your garden? #ridgetopflowerfarm #gardenersgoldcompost #leafcompost #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas
OK, I’m sold! #soilblocksareawesome! Have you started seeds using the soil block method? “Soil-blocking is an ingenious seed-starting method that allows the grower to produce vigorous seedlings with roots that quickly reestablish growth upon transplanting. Soil-blocking further eliminates the expense, waste, and storage issues associated with plastic pots.” Johnny's Selected Seeds #ridgetopflowerfarm #letsgrowflowersontheridge #orangetexasflowerfarm #orangetexas #soilblocking #startingseedswithsoilblocks
✨always✨ This is the day the Lord has made and I WILL rejoice and be glad in it. Friends, we were given another day of life and regardless of what minor inconveniences come your way, you CAN make the best of it. Happy Friday to you!!! Eyes wide open to all the blessings around you. 😘✌🏻 #ridgetopflowerfarm #itsallaboutattitude #thisisthedaythelordhasmade
