Personality-wise, she’s completely an “in your pocket” girl. I can walk into the yard, scoop her right up, and she’s ready to help collect eggs with us. ❤️

Miss Zombie is a Fibro mix from a Fibro Easter Egger hen crossed with one of my Ermine Ameraucana roosters, and she is absolutely STUNNING.

The best part? I have a little “baby twin” from my Rainbow Hatch out of that same mix (Ermine Easter Egger chicks), and that chick is staying right here as a keeper too! 🖤🤍

I just wanted to share my little lady with everyone. I hope Miss Zombie can make you smile as much as she makes me smile every single day!♥️

Our 3 week old Ermine Easter Egger chicks are currently in their awkward feathering/grow-out stage, but they’re absolutely loving their transition to outdoor life! ☀️🌱

Hatch Date: May 8th, 2026
That means 3 weeks old tomorrow!

$6 each : unsexed

And in true Homestead on Holly Lane fashion, Mocha has officially decided that ALL chicks belong to her. 😂🐔💕 What started with a few adopted babies has turned into her claiming every chick she can find as her own. She has fully embraced her role as the flock’s full-time mama, keeping everyone warm, protected, and in line!

These fun little chicks can grow into beautiful, unique birds with a variety of colors and patterns - and may lay a rainbow of egg colors too! 🌈

🐓Story Time: "Mocha the Professional Mama Hen"😂🤎🐣

If you’ve been around my flocks for a while… you probably already know Mocha! This girl goes broody at LEAST 2–3 times a year and takes her job VERY seriously. 😂

Well… she has officially adopted my 3 keeper chicks from the Rainbow Hatch!🥹🐣

Now let me explain why this is so perfect…

Well Mocha is actually Assassin Baby’s mama- but let me explain why that's even relevant.

She laid the clutch of eggs (stole some and moved them to her nesting box LOL), hatched them completely by herself with ZERO help, and has always been one of the BEST mothers in my flock. She’s even successfully raised 16 chicks at once before.... because apparently she decided that was a reasonable amount of children....💀😂

She’s one of those hens that has stayed through every flock change and breed change because I just LOVE her personality and how helpful she is. She definitely has some Legbar in her, but she came from one of my old mixed flocks so honestly… your guess is as good as mine on the rest. 😂

And now? She’s back in full mama mode. Heating them, feeding them, watering them, teaching them chicken manners… and ABSOLUTELY throwing hands with any chicken that comes too close to “her babies.” 😭😂

She does NOT mess around with that mama hen mentality.

Go Mocha. Best broody girl ever.🤎🐓
