🚨 Surprise!! 🐐💙

We suspected Dorothy might be pregnant, but we thought she was only around 3 months along from right before Twix was separated from the ladies.

For the last three weeks, we’ve been checking her belly and never felt this little nugget moving. At that point, we figured Dorothy just wasn’t worried about her summer figure and had decided to prioritize snacks. 🍪🌿😂

Meanwhile, we were minding our own business, working on building a new coop, when we suddenly heard screaming coming from the goat pen. To say we threw our tools down and went running would be an understatement!

Sure enough, Miss Dorothy had surprised us all with a beautiful baby boy! 💙

Momma and baby are doing great, and we’re still trying to figure out how she managed to keep this secret from us for so long. Farm life definitely keeps us on our toes!

🐣 Hatch Update 🐣

The new incubator is still showing off a bit. 👀

Out of 60 eggs incubated, we have successfully hatched 56 healthy chicks so far!! That puts us at a 93.33% hatch rate! 🤯

And honestly…those other 4 may still decide to surprise us this evening. We aren’t counting them out just yet.

We’re seeing lots of beautiful color variation already:
🤍 Splash
🩶 Blue
🖤 Darker blues/blacks
🤎 Rich red tones

Needless to say…the brooder is FULL! 😂

We seriously appreciate everyone supporting our little homestead and helping us continue improving our flock and hatch rates. These fluffy little chaos potatoes are ready to be spoiled. ❤️

Deckers Peckers Wyandotte Pricing Update
As of May 5, 2026

After a lot of consideration, we have updated our pricing structure to keep our birds affordable while still allowing us to continue improving our breeding program and care.

We are incredibly thankful for all of the support this year. Because of healthier birds, improved breeding selection, and our incubator upgrade, our hatch rates are now averaging above 90%!

This allows us to offer more affordable pricing while still raising happy, healthy birds.

Our goal has always been simple:
* quality birds
* fair pricing
* and helping more families enjoy the fluff butts.

We now offer:
🐣 gradual age-based pricing
🐣 “Grab & Go” pricing
🐣 Pick Your Own options
🐣 future pullet and laying hen availability

From our 4/25 hatch, we still have 62 chicks ready for new brooders (mostly lighter colored right now).

AND… we’ve got about 60 more due to hatch Monday/Tuesday — and honestly, your guess is as good as ours on colors 🎨

We’ve added quite a few new babies to the herd lately, so I guess it’s time to update the wall of fame and give y’all some proper introductions 🐐
