Another quilt finished just in time to take a snow photo ❄️❤️ If you look closely at the last photo you will see a heart in the quilting. Each pink square has a heart on it (My son's idea) Most of the fabric was from a fat quarter bundle purchased from I was just a little short so filled in a bit with a few fabrics from my stash. This was also the first quilt I quilted on my new quilting “machine” from Which is really just using my Bernina that I already have in their quilting frame. Makes it MUCH easier to free-motion quilt. Putting it on the frame is the longest part as you have to keep moving it to the next area. But the quilting is so much easier and doesn't hurt my arms. LOL

Almost finished with another top! Stay tuned. I of course have two tops in progress and one done that needs quilting. Why would I work on one at a time?

Book pillow 📖 Whipped this out for a bday gift for today. It’s so cute! The little pocket is perfect to hold books, journals, iPad, etc.

A glass of wine, new metallic paints, and a watercolor book. Really it’s just about hour to myself. But I love it. The book gives instructions and the base drawing. Perfect if you are new to watercolor or if you are experimenting. I’m trying a new set of colors and playing around with ink and journaling to take it up a notch. It’s really a good fun base to get you going. I have several books but this one is called seaside and it’s by 🌊🐚☀️

After a few very long and exhausting days the competition is over and we are back home. There were almost 900 (yikes) dances at the comp (insanity...and I won’t lie...I feel bad for the judges. Can you imagine?) There was no big awards this year, but so much improvement and proud moments for these two. I am so proud of all the kids from our studio who got on stage and danced their hearts out. There were a few tears, lots of cheers and good team work. A huge thank you to their teacher Keith Walls for being there for these kids and helping them every step of the way.

Photos are from Lennox’s contemporary piece “The Thief” and Lily’s ballet solo (which I cried through the entire thing...lol).

Another year of growth and another year complete. Bring on YAGP 2026!

Final days of being at The Shoppes in Canby! Come by and find your perfect hat! I have a few other goodies there plus the store is FULL of amazing treats that you didnt know you needed. The sun is shining today and I'll be here until 5pm and again tomorrow (friday) 11-5.
