Just Ingredients is in Times Square!! 🏙️🗽🍎

The thing that got me here? Asking questions.

I had to know if there were better choices for me and my family. I started off with deodorant… and now here we are with protein powder, electrolytes, energy drinks, and more! I am so proud of how far we have come. I couldn’t have done it without all of you!

The average person uses 12 personal care products a day. That’s 100+ unique chemicals!

Here’s the thing: it’s rarely one product that disrupts your hormones. It’s fragrance, self-tanner, nonstick pans, plastic cutting boards — used every single day, for years — that adds up.

You don’t have to overhaul your whole life overnight. Here are some of my favorite swaps I’ve made in my own bathroom and kitchen to lower my exposure!

I loved this conversation with Dr. Jennifer Simmons about breast cancer screening.

Please listen to the full podcast for the complete context, and as always, do your own research to determine what’s best for you and your health.

New or unfamiliar information isn’t automatically right or wrong, it’s an invitation to learn more, ask questions, and make informed decisions!

For the women who will say a mammogram saved your life or caught your cancer, we aren’t taking that experience away from you. We just want women to be able to choose and for you to be able to do what you feel is best for you and your health.

It’s impossible to avoid all toxins. That’s not a reality. But we can control some!

Do what you can with the budget you have.

Each little reduction helps and Amazon does have some great options.

Jessica is fighting mold issues right now so I’m helping her remove as many toxins as we possibly can.

ADHD support doesn’t always start with doing more. Sometimes it starts with going back to the basics.

Sleep. Nourishing meals. Enough protein. Healthy fats. Key nutrients. Small, consistent habits that help give a child’s brain and body the foundation they need to function their best.

One of the first places I’d start is sleep. Kids need more of it than many of us realize, and adequate sleep is associated with better attention, learning, memory, behavior, and emotional regulation.

If you have a child with ADHD, save this post and consider bringing some of these questions to their healthcare provider.

What’s one thing you’ve found that makes the biggest difference for your child during the school year?

Come dorm shopping at Target with us! 🛒🤍

College life is busy, so I’m all about finding simple things that make healthier choices a little easier, from better-for-you snacks and hydration to everyday dorm essentials.

My daughter and I found some really good options at Target that I’d absolutely send with a college student. 👀

College parents + students: what did we miss? We are still getting her dorm ready, so drop your must-have dorm items below! 👇🏼

Eating nourishing foods doesn’t have to mean spending more.

I love showing you this kind of real-life example because it’s so easy to assume “healthy = expensive,” but that isn’t always the case.

I put together two school lunches, one with more whole-food, nourishing swaps and one with more typical processed lunchbox items, and the healthier lunch actually came out LESS expensive!

A few simple ingredient swaps can make a big difference, both for your child’s nutrition and your grocery bill.

Healthy doesn’t have to be complicated. And it doesn’t always have to cost more. 🤍

What’s one simple swap you’ve made in your kids’ lunches? 👇

New grade, new school, new team, new roommate, and more... School and college are not easy! That’s why it’s so important to prepare our kids mentally for the school year.

Let’s talk about how to take control of that self-talk instead of letting it run the show: speak in “dos” not “don’ts” (“I’m going to answer with what I know” beats “don’t freeze up”), build specific belief statements instead of vague ones (“I’m someone who figures things out” instead of comparing yourself to everyone else), and write down three things you did well every single day, because three data points is all it takes to start seeing a pattern of who you really are.

This might be my favorite podcast episode I’ve recorded! The way you talk to yourself tonight is teaching your kids how to talk to themselves for life.

I loved this conversation with Dr. Craig Manning. Dr. Manning is a Human Performance Consultant and Mental Strength Coach who has worked with the Milwaukee Bucks, US Ski and Snowboarding teams, and athletes around the world. But this conversation isn’t just about elite performance. It’s about the everyday stories we tell ourselves, and how those stories are quietly shaping ourselves and our kids.

We talk about why fear isn’t actually real (your brain manufactures it), why self-talk is neuroscience and not just a social media buzzword, and the difference between discipline and self-criticism, because most of us have been mixing those two up for years.
