🍓 Strawberry Jam Canning Recipe
Ingredients
4 cups crushed strawberries
4 cups granulated sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 packet fruit pectin (optional)
Instructions
1. Wash and sterilize canning jars and lids.
2. Crush strawberries and place in a large pot.
3. Add lemon juice and pectin (if using).
4. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
5. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
6. Boil hard for 1–2 minutes.
7. Remove foam from the top.
8. Pour hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving ÂĽ inch headspace.
9. Wipe jar rims clean and seal with lids.
10. Process jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
11. Remove and let cool for 12–24 hours.
12. Check seals before storing.
Storage
Store sealed jars in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year.
Refrigerate after opening.
