🎂❤️ SOME VISITS TOUCH YOUR HEART IN WAYS YOU NEVER EXPECT… ❤️🎂
Fourteen years ago, a mom named Sam contacted me to make the very first birthday cakes for her little ones, first for Jaxon and later for Nora. One was a Mickey Mouse cake (chocolate cake with cookies and cream buttercream) and the other was a Bunny cake. 🐭🐰
And today, 14 years later, they came looking for me!
Sam and her kids was on vacation in Orlando and took the time to find me at the outlet, even though we are now so far away from where we started in Pennsylvania.
By coincidence, I had returned to the kiosk that evening just to drop off a few things. I wasn't even supposed to be there working, but thankfully, they found me! We got to say hello, take pictures, and share a moment I will never forget.
To be honest, I didn't remember the specific cakes. I've made so many cakes over the years that I couldn't recall which ones were theirs. But when they said, *“We finally found you!”* my heart melted. 🥹❤️
I was so surprised, so touched, and so incredibly happy. That unexpected visit made my day, my week, and honestly, my whole month!
Afterward, I started thinking…
How many little children whose birthday cakes I made years ago are now teenagers or grown adults? How many of them are getting married, ordering wedding cakes, or even having children of their own?
How many memories have I been blessed to be a part of? How many families have I met, and how many special moments have I helped make a little sweeter?
It's incredible to think about!
When you make cakes, you're not just mixing flour, sugar, and butter. You're becoming a small part of someone's story, their childhood, their family celebrations, and their memories.
And sometimes, years later, those memories come right back to you in the most unexpected and beautiful ways.
Thank you, Sam, Jackson, and Nora, for taking the time to find me, for remembering me, and for reminding me why I started doing what I love in the first place.
And thank YOU, to every customer who has trusted me with your celebrations, remembered me through the years, and continued to support me even after all the changes and miles between us.
Pennsylvania may be far behind me, but the connections we built there are still finding their way to my heart in Florida. ❤️
The greatest reward isn't always an award or a sale. Sometimes, it's simply knowing that you became part of someone's memories, one cake at a time.❤️🎂
