Just wanted to share really quick for shepherd friends (still hanging out on Blue Sky 🦋).

I wanted a tool where I could upload a list of ewes and their breeding dates and get not only due dates but a schedule of all of the vaccinations they and their lambs need over the course of lamb(ing) season and couldn’t find anything (other than $$$ EID systems that don’t make sense with my flock size). So I made this simple little tool and it seems to be working pretty well. It’s live on my (very much in progress) website if anyone wants to give it a try.

For anyone on the fence about a walking/great wheel, I can’t recommend just taking the plunge and doing it enough. I adore mine. There something about the walking of it all that is so soothing and honestly, I think it just looks beautiful in my house.

It has been too hectic to post lately (my job that bankrolls this whole thing is at a pretty critical point). And now it all just feels so dark and sad and empty. Honestly, I need to alternate between hyper focusing on work and wallowing for a bit (with breaks to cry). Right now I’m just heartbroken but I’m going to feel this way for a while to ensure I’m not broken.

It’s ok to take some time to feel so that we are able to get back to the work of life and democracy. Because my three year old picked these flowers for me on our walk to pre-k yesterday when she noticed I was sad and lots of other people seemed sad and she didn’t know why. And one day I’m going to need to really explain it to her. I’d like for that story to be about how we fixed it.

Do I have any friends from Maine or New Hampshire heading to who are able to and interested in transporting back the ultimate souvenir for me…?

My transport plans have fallen through and unfortunately I can’t make the drive myself. Very happy to pay for his ticket home (and meet you anywhere in Maine to bring him that last leg)!
