This little lamb went to the Renaissance Faire! He had a great time eating all the green grass and dandelions, getting alllll the attention, and was completely worn out at the end. I enjoyed having a lamb with me, and we will do it again this coming weekend at barter faire!

Meet the new man! We drove down to Lostine Or today to pick up Ruby Peak Pine. It was time for some new bloodlines on the farm, and this is where we start! He’s riding in the car like a pro and I’m excited to introduce him to his almost 20 ladies for this upcoming breeding season. I’m excited to see what he produces for us!

Who doesn’t love a bottle baby? They are cute, snuggly, and oh so fun!

Until you realize that they are just as needy as a human toddler. If you plan on leaving for more than 8 hours, you need to bring it with you, along with the bottle, formula, and heated water. And when a male lamb who has been bottle fed gets older? They get very aggressive. I will love him now, and he will be tasty later!

We have had many, many requests for lambs over the past year, and we kept telling people to wait until spring. Well, the main crop of lambs has now been born, and I will be taking reservations for your choice of the following lambs! I will put details in the descriptions of each picture individually. PM me for more info or to reserve your lambs today! They will be ready to go in 6-8 weeks, depending on which ones you want!

This was posted on my personal page yesterday, but it really belongs here

Came home after a very long day, just in time to find our final seasoned mama in labor, with a hopelessly stuck ram lamb. His hooves and nose were out, but they were cold and his tongue was out, off to the side. I was SURE he was dead. But she was also calling for help and clearly in distress. So, I grabbed the feet and tried to pull. He was very stuck. So I had to get my hand in there, and I found that his very large horn nubs were stuck on her pelvis 😳 So I got him free and helped her deliver him. And, he was alive! She sat as I pulled him the rest of the way out, and she wasn’t moving. So I put him in front of her, and as both of them rested and recovered she cleaned him up, and they both finally stood again. After she finished cleaning him up, I weighed him. He is 9.7lbs. Big boy! And in about half an hour I will go check on them to see if she had another one, or if they are done and continuing to recover. What a day! al

We are up to 10 lambs so far! 7 ewes and 3 rams. 11 mamas left to go, 3 seasoned and 8 new. We will see if all 8 of them...
