We haven’t posted much lately, but we’ve still been busy!

Our most recent hatch was from our Black Copper Marans × Olive Egger cross. We had a great hatch with a variety of colors, and currently have 8 of the solid black chicks available.

These are straight run and are $8 each.

Looking for some advice from those of you who have experience with broody hens.

We've hatched plenty of chicks in incubators over the years, but this is our first time letting a hen hatch and raise a clutch herself. We'd love to hear any tips, tricks, or lessons you've learned along the way.

What should we expect as hatch day gets closer? Is there anything we should be doing now? What are some common mistakes to avoid? Any recommendations for managing the hen and chicks after they hatch?

We're always looking to learn and appreciate any advice you're willing to share.
