This weekend we came out of seasonal “retirement” and drove up to Lynville, IA for the Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition & Benefit. We love this comp, because it raises money for a good cause. This year they raised $52,000!!!

As for us, we had a pretty good cook. Our final standings were:

2nd - Mystery (wings)
1st - Chicken
2nd - Ribs
6th - Pork
1st - Brisket

Not a bad day, came home with the RGC. Congrats to McDonald Family Farms BBQ and everyone else who heard their names called. We’ll see ya next year!!!

This weekend was the season finale of the Heartland BBQ Society season. We were down in Memphis, MO trying to finish strong. We had a streak of 3 straight comps with a 1st place brisket finish so we were trying to keep that going!

We finished:
5th - 🐔
6th - 🍖
1st - 🐷
1st - 🐂

We were in Bloomfield, IA this weekend for our 7th Heartland BBQ Society competition of the season we had a pretty good cook, hitting all the marks we had set for ourselves.

We finished:
🐔 - 9th with a 166
🍖 - 3rd with a 177
🐷 - 4th with a 173
🐮 - 1st with a 177

We’ve got 1 more competition to figure this chicken thing out…as it’s the only category we have not won this year. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This weekend we were in Lynnville, IA at 2024 Smoke on the Water: BBQ Competition & Benefit, cookin for a cause. Surviving the heat to burn our meat!!! We were overall happy with our cook, this years mystery meat was goat. So of course we shredded it and put in in the shape of a “G” wondering if we’d get disqualified. 😂🤣😂

Out of 18 very talented teams we finished:

10th - 🐔
5th - 🍖
6th - 🐷
🥇 - 🐮
4th place Overall

This weekend we were burning our meat and flexing our muscles down in Ottumwa, Ia at the first annual Children of the Corn BBQ competition hosted by Iowa BBQ Store and Heartland BBQ Society.

This weekend was a really stacked field with some of the best teams Iowa and Northern Missouri had to offer!!!💪🏽

We were locked in and had our overall best cook of the season so far hitting every taste and tenderness mark we set. Judges agreed however the talent in this field also had great cooks.
