After a lot of thought, we have made the decision to close The Sanctum as a physical storefront.
I knew opening the store would take a lot from me. What I did not fully understand was how much it would take from my family too. The kids have been very vocal about missing me, and being home with them more recently made me realize just how much I miss being home with them too.
That has been hard to ignore.
I love what we created here. Truly. I love the people, the community, the events, the conversations, the classes, the creating, and all of the little things that made The Sanctum feel like more than just a store. But I have also had to be honest with myself and admit that I love all of those things a lot more than I love running a physical storefront.
So this version of The Sanctum is coming to an end.
Over the next few weeks, we will be packing up the store, reducing inventory, and preparing for what comes next. We don't have a firm final day because we don't want to drag the process out simply to reach a date on the calendar. Once we're packed and ready, we'll close the doors.
But Everth Sanctum is not going away.
After the storefront closes, we are going to take a short hiatus while we rest, regroup, and rebuild things for this next version. Our website will be unavailable for couple weeks while we update it and prepare for the transition.
When we return, Everth Sanctum will continue through online sales, markets, and community events. The community part of what we created is incredibly important to me, and I fully intend to keep finding ways for us to gather, learn, create, and celebrate together. It just won't always happen inside the same four walls.
For now, come see us while we're still here. Shop with our vendors, help us lighten these shelves, and enjoy The Sanctum with us while we pack up this chapter. Thank you for every visit, every purchase, every class, every conversation, and every bit of love you have given this space.
We're not disappearing. We're just changing what home looks like.
🖤 Jess
