🐄❤️ A LITTLE CALF WITH A BIG FIGHT IN HER…

This little heifer calf had a rough start. Her momma was doing what mommas do — trying to protect her baby from a bunch of vultures. Unfortunately, in the middle of trying to defend her, momma accidentally stepped on her and broke her leg right at the joint. 💔

We loaded this little girl up and headed to the vet for X-rays, where they put her leg in a cast. She’ll wear it for about two weeks, then we’ll head back to the vet to see if she needs another cast or if that little leg is healing well enough to go without it.

Once back home on the farm, we gave her some colostrum to help build up her strength and then reunited her with her momma. 🥰

A big shoutout to Stone Veterinary Clinic for staying after hours to get our newest girl fixed up! We sure appreciate you taking such good care of her! 🐄❤️

The VIRAL boudin balls that was invented in the 1980’s and PLENTY of restaurants world wide are selling is making its way into Kim’s Diner. Thank you to another local restaurant that sells them for helping me learn the ropes over the phone to create them (but with my own spin off to it) local supporting local.
Boudin is a Cajun sausage with rice in it, add a few other seasonings, shredded mozzarella, shredded sharp cheddar, seasoned bread crumbs rolled around in a light coating of flour egg wash and crushed hot Cheetos. Served with Cajun ranch or nacho cheese or if your like me both!
With over 60,000 people living in Owensboro there is now (3) I believe that are selling these make sure you support them all because they take some work to make lol!
Only way to grow as a business is to grow your menu to our community’s wants and I’m excited to start Tuesday with our recipe!
