Welp, the first round of classes sold out so fast, we’ve gone ahead and opened up another two classes.

Will we have a consistent calendar of classes? Sure. One day. But that day is not today. Until then, we will all figure it out as we go.

I’m baaaaaaack!! And maybe I’ve lost my mind but it made me too sad to think another Valentine’s would pass without a special edition Pink-a-Dot mug release.

So I’m currently cranking out a bunch of mugs for pre-order. Design is a surprise this year. The classic Pink-a-Dot has a polka dot base, and previous valentines mugs had hearts and XOs.

Use the code “localpickup” if you want to pick up your mug at Sanctum. Orders will ship by the 9th.

Laid my super snooter to rest yesterday. Atticus Hinton James was the sweetest, and arguably stinkiest, 90 lbs cat trapped in a greyhound’s body that ever walked the earth. He was a terrible race hound and was retired at 2yo. It took a year for him to decide to run again and once he did we understood why he lost so many races. In a world of running laps around an oval track, Atticus preferred to run a figure 8.

I have found myself walking through the house starting to call for him. To shuffle him from one room to the next. He loved a rug, blanket, mat. Anything but bare ground. He loved stealing cardboard, and the kids small plastic toys. He loved apples and was well known for his ability to swipe butter from the counter and swallow it whole in under 3 seconds. He was the ideal height for sneaking sips of your coffee, tea, or wine. He had the sweetest teeth chatter when he was happy, loved to stick his nose in unsuspecting visitors crotches, and had the best greyhound leans. To him there was no such thing as too much attention. He was my sweet boy and it was an honor to love him for the last decade.

What a comeback!
While trimming the lid for the jar I recently made (see previous post), I accidentally took it too far and broke the k**b. Gave myself a moment to be bummed and then used my mistake to try something new!

Can’t believe this flower survived given I also had an explosion, during bisque (🫣 ).

This piece along with a few others is going to the for an exhibit running September-December feature local artists and makers!

Been a minute since I played ❤️
Life is incredibly stressful. I’m being pushed and tested in ways I wasn’t expecting. And in the thick of it all I was invited to showcase some of my work in an upcoming exhibit at my local museum. Since I have no functioning studio I really don’t have much work to showcase.

But I’m not one to say no! Time to bust out a few pieces in time to be displayed starting in September 😜. Now to trim and glaze!
