This one is still VERY early pregnancy but its so late in the season we wouldn't retry this year anyway and I feel like celebrating.

Cassio’s Picasso KD brings proven upper-level eventing blood and performance to the equation. A 2019 USEA Stallion of the Year, Picasso competed successfully through CCI3-L*, bringing the athleticism, scope, movement, and versatility we love to see in a modern sport horse.

And then there’s Lilly. ❤️

Jim’s Lillydale xx is a lovely Thoroughbred mare with her own performance background, having competed through Training Level eventing and schooled Preliminary. She brings exactly the type of Thoroughbred influence we want in our program: athletic, useful, and proven under saddle.

An added bonus? This foal is guaranteed SW1. 🤍

Our hope with this cross is a modern, athletic sport horse with the blood, brain, movement, and jumping ability to excel in eventing while still being the kind of horse someone would be thrilled to have in the barn every day.

Our 2027 foal crop is officially in the works, and we couldn't be more excited about the combinations we've planned. Every breeding was chosen with one goal in mind—producing athletic, trainable horses with exceptional minds, movement, and jumping ability.

Breeding season is officially in the books here at Hidden Creek Ranch. 💙

It's been a bittersweet year. We celebrated a huge milestone by welcoming my long-awaited keeper filly from Danza, but we also experienced the heartbreak of losing two incredible foals to circumstances completely beyond our control.

If you've ever bred horses, you know the emotional investment is immense. Every cross is carefully planned, every pregnancy is celebrated, and every foal is deeply loved. The highs are unforgettable, but the lows are equally profound. Hug a breeder, what we do is incredibly rewarding, but it certainly isn't easy.

Despite the challenges, we're looking ahead with excitement. As of today, we're expecting five beautiful foals for 2027, with two more pregnancies hopefully still to be confirmed! 🤞 The stallions pictured below are just a few of the incredible sires represented in next year's foal crop, and we can't wait to share more updates as the mares progress.

A huge thank you to all of the wonderful stallion owners we've had the pleasure of working with this season. We truly appreciate your support and partnership.
