“Walter,” our IPP boar, is doing great and is very calm and nice. I think my gilt is pregnant and she’s due in August!

We also have our first litter of beautiful bunnies. ❤️ Another litter is due this weekend. We are building the grow out hutch - it will be done soon. It will.

Peeps is making a ton of milk! Super easy to milk with a soft udder and large orifices. She’s awesome! She has one doeling still unspoken for.

We got an IPP boar! He has floppy ears and white ear and a pink nose. He is huge but very kind. I can go in and pet him and he likes face rubs at the fence. His name is Walter. He and Black Beauty should make some beautiful piglets!! (The third piggy is Carrots - he got a lot of Kune genes, so we’re letting him grow out for a while and be a companion to the other two when needed). We should have piglets in late July! 😍

Muscovy “nests” are filled with straw, duck house cleaned out and wings clipped. The gate is repaired from the wind storm. We lost Daddy Duck this winter (so sad), but luckily we kept a drake from last summer. Can’t wait for ducklings! Hopefully this is a better setup than last spring when they were with the chickens (chickens kept upsetting their nests). Always adjusting!

Peeps’ quads are doing well. I disbudded them myself for the first time. I’ve been watching and learning from Jennifer Johnson for several years. I think I did okay, but time will tell!

Peeps had 4 last night around 2:00am. 3 girls and 1 boy. They are so beautiful and big and healthy. She popped them out no problem after a long slow labor. Her udder is huge and she milks so easily. She is amazing!

Sheep are doing so well in the cold! We love them.

I also wanted to share my quick fix chicken waterer: At 4 degrees the ni***es were fine, but when it got below zero they froze, so I had to put open water out for the chickens that day. But I'm super happy with the easy and cheap insulation that is working so far! Just local straw stuffed in feed bags, tied with hay string and a bungy cord with a little tank heater.
