Hike For Hope on May 16 🎯
The AFSP Construction Su***de Prevention, KCA and MBA are once again hosting and we've asking those registered for the hike if they would like to send a brief summary explaining why Pennsylvania Construction Hike For Hope is important to them.
Here's WHY Kara (Houck) McCaffrey is hiking:
"I've cared deeply about mental health and su***de prevention for a long time, since I lost my Brother Gary to su***de back in 2005. My Brother was amazing in so many ways, but like many others in the construction industry, was in pain and didn't see hope.
I contribute my passion and spread hope not only at my family company Houck, but on a national level as the 2026 Chair of Construction Su***de Prevention Week.
Participating in AFSP's Hike for Hope allows me and Team Houck to show our commitment to advancing the mental health conversation in construction, and contribute to the hope and healing of our industry.
Hope is why we hike together. Hope can save lives."
