Thank you so much to everyone who came and saw us at the Lexington Pride Festival yesterday! You all are amazing, we had such a fantastic time meeting everyone and serving up our mead. It was one giant party from the second we set up till we closed down, truly an absolute blast and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to do it again next year!

Well don’t we feel like the prettiest girl at the party! We’ve been informed that at 3:15pm Sunday 5/31 Louisville Royals Steel Fighting Team and Lexington Lycans Buhurt Club will be squaring off in a keg brawl (beating the stuffing out of each other with literal kegs) at Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival apparently an argument broke out over who had the tastier signature mead and things have now escalated to violence. There’s bragging rights, honor and mead on the line here folks. Sh*ts about to go down!

Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival kicks off this weekend! Make sure to go see our good friends Louisville Royals Steel Fighting Team, Lexington Lycans Buhurt Club, and Ulfhedinn Vikings. These guys will be putting on some great shows this weekend and we’re super excited to work with them making their mead!

Hey friends! Tons of exciting things happening with Beeserker Meadery this weekend. We will be out at the Lexington Pride Festival Saturday hanging out with you all and serving up mead as well as rolling out our mead slushies. Also Saturday is opening day at Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival in Eminence, KY. They have been so wonderful as to stock their Oak Haven Pub in the Viking Field with our mead. Kentucky Renaissance Faire is our home ren faire, we absolutely love these guys and if not for them putting on such a great event and building our love for the Ren Faire culture I’m not even sure there would be a Beeserker Meadery. So make sure to go see them this season and ask for Beeserker Mead!

PSA on Mead vs Meade. One thing we frequently run into is customers telling us they tried mead and hated it when they’ve actually only had “Meade”. So what’s the difference? Mead is wine made from honey whereas Meade is actually just white wine made from grapes flavored with honey and has a distinctly different flavor profile. We look forward to seeing you all this summer at our various events and getting you some authentic mead made right here in Kentucky!
