No pictures from yesterday...it was getting close to dark when we were able to feed the bees 🐝.
Just as hard as the Summer was...so is the present. Bees are scrambling for food. That's why we (and many others) are feeding so much this year! The bees need to store up honey to survive the Winter.
We will be making sugar boards soon. Pictures to follow.
In the meantime...we will post local pictures as able and as much info as possible. The more everyone knows about bees🐝 and their importance to our food supply...the more everyone can take steps to see that they and their food source is not destroyed!

We had rain ☔ yesterday ..and lots of it!!! We are so excited! It had become so dry and threats of fires🔥 popping up was a daily occurrence.
We are still in need of more rain ! I believe we are forecast to repeat the same as yesterday...so...no pictures of bees and/or working with them today🙅🏻‍♀️
Stay tuned though ..the rain isn't going to last!

We can tell the weather is about to change. We finally dipped down into the 90's rather than the triple digits AND the bees are foraging with a vengeance!!!
It's imperative they gather as much pollen and or nectar as possible in preparation for the upcoming Winter.
El Nino is not going away just because Summer is slowly coming to an end. It is forecast to bring a wet Winter...which could mean ice and/or snow for us ..more than the average.
