A little throwback to one of our Techniques cocktail classes, where we spent our afternoon exploring classic cocktails, learning a few tricks behind the bar, and discovering that the best part of making a drink is often the company you’re making it with.

BANANAS FOSTER RUM SWIZZLE

Who says crushed ice is just for summer?

Dark rum, a splash of rye, fresh apple c***r, warm cinnamon, and a few generous dashes of Honest John Bananas Foster Bitters.

A little tropical. A little autumnal. Entirely appropriate for October.

THE RECIPE

2 oz Dark Rum
½ oz Rye Wh***ey
½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
¾ oz Apple C***r
¼ oz Rich Cinnamon-Demerara Syrup (2:1)
4 dashes Honest John Bananas Foster Bitters

METHOD

Add all ingredients to a glass with crushed ice. Swizzle or stir vigorously until well chilled. Top with additional crushed ice.

Garnish with a banana slice and pineapple frond.
