Never underestimate your animals’ senses.
This morning I glanced out the kitchen window & noticed one of the goats looking intently towards the poultry pens. So I went out to make sure there wasn’t some kind of threat. Saw nothing. Thought “why is she being weird? Theres nothing there.” As I turn to go inside I noticed every single turkey was staring at the ground just outside their fence. Closer investigation revealed a 3 foot bull snake hiding in the weeds! He posed no threat & moved right along. But I will always check when my animals act out of character, because they probably know something I don’t.

Our first time momma, Echo had 2 beautiful baby boys today! Sadly there were 2 others that were born sleeping; too small & not ready to meet the world. But Echo & her boys are doing wonderful! She has been very attentive & the babies are up walking & nursed serval times. Overall a great morning!

It’s May. There’s 2 weeks of school before summer vacation. And we get a snow storm big enough to give the kids one last snow day off of school! Yep, this is Colorado.
