I can not wait to meet you all Wednesday!

Please note there is a venue change. I had to change it because we have SEVENTY FIVE people RSVP’d and Tyaskin Wharf could not accommodate us all!!

I don’t expect anyone to be prepared with 75 portions, but please be generous in what you do bring!! I’d hate for there to not be enough food for everyone. If you are signed up for something and can’t swing a large portion feel free to message me privately and I will get some extra!

Just a friendly reminder: we were all created differently—and that’s a beautiful thing.

No two people are exactly alike. Even identical twins can have completely different personalities, passions, and perspectives! We may have different values, political views, beliefs, hobbies, and ways of living—and different doesn’t mean better or worse.

I hate seeing people tear others down simply because they believe differently. We don’t have to agree on everything to treat one another with kindness and respect.

Love your neighbor—even when they think differently, vote differently, live differently, or believe differently than you do. ā¤ļø

Hey, everyone! Since I may start sharing more here, I thought I should reintroduce myself. ā¤ļø

I’m Tabatha—a wife, mom of three, homeschool mom, animal lover, and follower of Jesus. Our family life is often busy, a little messy, and always an adventure! Many of you originally followed this page because of our petting zoo and adventures with the kids. While that chapter has changed, our family certainly hasn’t stopped exploring, learning, and making memories together.

I’ve been thinking about turning this page into a place where I can share more of our homeschool journey, family adventures, faith, field trips, and the everyday moments in between.

We homeschool under the Peaceful Worldschoolers umbrella. Our director is absolutely amazing and has created wonderful systems to help homeschool families find community within their local areas.

I’m currently serving as the Wicomico County field-trip coordinator, and I’ll be organizing field trips every Wednesday throughout the school year! Below is our schedule for the remainder of 2026.

Hopefully, some of you homeschool—or know someone who does—and will help me spread the word! If you’re interested in joining us or would like more information about any of the trips, please message me directly or email me at [email protected].

Please feel free to share this post with other local homeschool families! ā¤ļø

I’m in a season of FRUSTRATION.

Things just seem upside down everywhere lately. I’ve been all over the place these last few weeks—physically, emotionally, mentally. Things have piled up, I’ve been overwhelmed, and if I’m being completely transparent… I’ve been in a funk.

Lift Church is my home church. They’re my church family, and I’m so thankful for them. But I also try to keep up with Emmanuel Church online every week.

Except lately, I haven’t.

I’ve let myself get three weeks behind, and there was one message in particular that I just kept putting off. I knew it was there. I knew I needed to listen to it. But for whatever reason, I just couldn’t make myself turn it on.

This morning Cody took the kids so I could have some time to myself and get some things done. I decided I was finally going to catch up.

But first, I turned on worship.

And let me tell you… worship opened my heart before the message ever started. ā¤ļø

Somewhere between singing and surrendering, my heart started shifting from frustration to praise. From everything that feels wrong… to remembering everything God has already made right.

Then I finally turned on that message I’d been avoiding for three weeks.

Oh. Man.

Sometimes the enemy will do everything he can to keep you away from exactly what God knows you need to hear.

ā€œThe reason you are frustrated is you are taking too much on instead of letting it go.ā€

ā€œYou’re filled with frustration because you are retaining and not releasing, and it is sucking your soul dry.ā€

😭 Okay, God. I hear You.

Why do we do this sometimes as Christians? Why is it that when we need God the most, sometimes we talk to Him the least? We carry it. We replay it. We try to fix it. We let it consume our thoughts—and then wonder why we’re exhausted.

Fix the flow.

ā€œAbove all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.ā€ — Proverbs 4:23

And then came another reminder I desperately needed:

The testing of our faith produces perseverance.

Maybe sometimes we aren’t supposed to escape the hard season. Maybe we have to push through it and praise God in it. Maybe He is forming our faith through our frustration.

And suddenly I started looking at everything differently.

Yes, there are situations in my life I wish I could fix. There are family struggles. There is sickness. There are growing pains. There are things I don’t understand and outcomes I can’t control.

But I am not the author of this story. He is.

And our God is MORE than able.

Who am I to put limits on what He can do?

Because when I stop staring at everything that feels upside down and look around, I can see Him everywhere.

I’m here. ā¤ļø
I’m watching friends begin their walks with Christ.
I’m watching my children grow up—one of the greatest gifts He could ever give me.
I’m watching relationships heal.
I’m watching prayers answered in ways I didn’t expect.
And I’m being reminded that He still does miracles.

He isn’t finished.

Not with my situation.
Not with my family.
Not with the people I love.
And He is not finished with me.

So today, instead of holding onto the frustration, I’m releasing it.

I’m choosing praise.
I’m choosing gratitude.
I’m choosing to trust the Author when I don’t understand the chapter.

Thank You, Jesus, for loving me even when I get distracted, overwhelmed, frustrated, and try to carry things You never asked me to carry.

Thank You for meeting me right where I am.

Our God is more than able. He still performs miracles. And NO—the gates of hell will NOT prevail. šŸ™Œā¤ļø

Sometimes you just have to fix the flow. Guard your heart. Release what you’re carrying. And praise Him through it. šŸ™

Faith is a journey, and we all start somewhere. Our goal should always be to become a little more like Christ every single day.

Trust me—I know we all fall short. We all sin. But that’s exactly why our Savior went to the cross. He knew we would fail, and He chose to love us anyway. What an incredible gift of grace.

About two years ago, I made the decision to give up secular music. Now, when I turn on music, I intentionally choose worship. Lately, I’ve also been watching more faith-based shows and movies on Angel.

Last night I watched The Cokeville Miracle, and it reminded me of something I think we all need to hear.

Sometimes the miracles in the Bible—David and Goliath, Daniel in the lions’ den, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace with the fourth man, Jesus making the blind see, and the paralyzed walk—can feel so distant. They almost seem like stories from another time.

But God hasn’t changed.

Watching the faith of that town, and especially the faith of those children because they had parents who faithfully taught them God’s Word, reminded me that God still hears our prayers. He still moves. He still performs miracles. He is still working, even when we can’t see it.

Keep walking in faith. Pray intentionally. Trust Him with the little things and the impossible things.

Our Savior is still here… and He can’t wait to hear from you. ā¤ļøšŸ™

If you get a chance this is an amazing watch!

Children recount a school hostage miracle, but adults remain doubtful of its truth.

Sometimes as a homeschool mom, I worry my kids are missing out.

One of the first questions people always ask is, ā€œBut what about socialization?ā€ And to that I gently say — not all socialization is good socialization. We send our kids off for eight hours a day to be around people we don’t even know. Do they share our values? Do they encourage the kind of character we’re trying to build at home?

But that’s not even really what this post is about.

The truth is, sometimes *I* get in my head. I worry they’ll miss out on sports. On activities. On little traditions.

This week it was Valentine’s Day. I had that quiet, ugly thought creep in — ā€œMan… my kids won’t get to give or receive valentines.ā€

And almost as soon as that thought settled in, our amazing umbrella group, Peaceful Homeschoolers, sent out an email about a Valentine’s exchange. 🩷

It was such a simple reminder: for every ā€œdownsideā€ I can think of, there are a thousand positives waiting right behind it.

Homeschooling isn’t about isolation. It’s about intention. And sometimes God answers the worry before it even fully forms.

Just a little encouragement for any other homeschool mom who sometimes wonders if she’s getting it right. You are. šŸ’›

Leading up to the halftime show, I saw so many people tearing Kid Rock apart for who he used to be. The music he used to sing. The life he used to live.

Jesus already paid the price for our sins. It is finished. Repentance and forgiveness are the backbone of Christianity.

But that’s the beauty of walking with God —
your past doesn’t get the final say.

I loved his performance. He came out wild, loud, chaotic — the way the world expects. Jumping around, acting crazy, didn’t even look like he was taking it seriously.

Then the curtain closed.

The music softened.

And out walked Robert Ritchie.

Not a persona. Not a character. A man.

And he sang ā€œā€™Til You Can’tā€ — but with a message that hit different:

ā€œThere's a book sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off - There's a man that died for all our sins hanging from the cross - You can give your life to Jesus and He’ll give you a second chance…
’Til you can’t.ā€

That’s the Gospel.

That’s redemption.

That’s grace.

God doesn’t call the perfect — He transforms the willing.

And a testimony will always be louder than a past.

What a powerful reminder that it’s never too late… until it is.
