Thank you to EVERYONE who came out yesterday! 🇵🇷❤️ Annapolis showed Bori SO much love, and we’ve already received so many requests asking when we’re coming back!
Because this was our very first pop-up outside of the food truck and our first time working in an unfamiliar kitchen, we knew there would be some hiccups...and there definitely were. We ran into a lot of challenges, but we pushed through them.
First, thank you to the Bread and Butter Kitchen team for jumping in and helping us throughout the night you were amazing! 🙏🏽💕
But listen… I need to give a MAJOR shoutout to MY TEAM. When I tell you they WORKED last night!! I seriously could not have done this without them. They worked incredibly hard, stayed with me through every stressful moment, and kept pushing until the very end. I’m so grateful for them.
To anyone who waited much longer than expected, I sincerely apologize, and I truly appreciate your patience. Moving forward, we’re going to make some changes, including offering a smaller menu with fewer fried items. We simply didn’t have enough frying space to get orders out as quickly as we needed to.
Last night reminded me so much of the grand opening of my food truck...long lines, long waits, mistakes, lessons learned... And just like we did with the food truck, we’re going to learn, adjust and GET BETTER. ❤️
Aside from the hiccups, yesterday was SUCCESSFUL, and I am so incredibly grateful.
I wish I could’ve stopped to talk to everyone and take pictures, but I barely had a moment to look up! 😂 There will be more opportunities for that.
For the last two weeks, I worked SO hard preparing for my first restaurant pop-up. By the time I got home last night, I could barely walk up the stairs on my own.
Running your own business is NOT for the weak.
At the end of the night, Chris grabbed me and took me outside because I think he knew I needed a moment. He hugged me and said, “Breathe, baby. You made it. It’s okay.”
And I broke down in tears.🥹
All the exhaustion. The stress. The pressure. The last two weeks of preparation. Everything came out at once.
But I made it.
WE made it.
Thank you, Annapolis. Thank you to my team. Thank you to everyone who showed us patience, grace and LOVE.
This was our first one. We learned a lot.
And we’re only going to get better from here.
¡PA’LANTE! 🇵🇷❤️
