Branden might start on these doors and balcony this weekend and I’m so excited!
Man we love a before and after don’t we?
We love DIY pages, short videos showing the before and 5 seconds later the new and improved after!
We like that in our own lives too, don’t we ? Quick fixes. Quick dopamine hits. Love to show off the best parts! ( and go for it! I’m into celebrating the Good!!)
But a lot of the time( dare I say most ) , God is in that middle part. The tearing apart, the cutting off the old, replacing with something better. Getting the mold out of the crevices that you didn’t know existed.
And it’s not a quick process, but it’s necessary. It’s not a fun process either, it costs you something (check the tab at Menards and turnboughs) but the end result will be worth it!
You’ll be better for it in the end and you’ll like the way you look a lot more too. I’m not talking about your outward appearance either!
Surrender, let the Lord do a work in you. The old, the ugly, the expensive, the things you want to hang on to. I promise there’s something so much better even if the middle part of the process isn’t what we always see on social media.
We love the before and after, but don’t wish the middle away because that’s where the after comes from🤍
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”
James 1:2-6 ESV
