FLAKNY Farm We are a first generation family farm in Upstate New York. As regenerative farmers, we strive to improve the soil and quality of life of our animals.

We currently produce pastured poultry and eggs, grass-fed heritage beef, and pork. We look forward to feeding your family!

What is FLAKNY???

It is an acronym for our family's journey from Florida to New York by way of Alaska (FL+AK+NY = FLAKNY).

Mike and I (Audrey) met, married, and had two of our children in Florida. It took a military move to get this Florida girl out of the Sunshine State and into the Last Frontier. Once I realized I could survive snow and cold (and one baby later), settling in New York was the next step...four proper seasons, no hurricanes, and no earthquakes.

Farmland in Upstate New York met our desires to embark on a slower paced life, grow our own food, and give our children the opportunity to explore the land around them. It has been quite the journey, and we are so glad you have joined us on our adventure!

See you tomorrow at the Town of Niskayuna Farmers Market! We'll bring the bacon! 🥓 It will be our last weekend at the market, so get it while it's available! We'll also have breakfast sausage links, Italian sausage ropes, pork chops, whole chicken (it's soup season! 🍲), chicken by the cut (maybe some wings for baseball playoffs⚾ or football games🏈?), eggs, and more! Meet the Animals Part 4...pigs! This year's group is a mix of heritage breeds known for their hardiness, health, and ability to adapt to outdoor environments. We move them through multiple paddocks, allowing them to root around, forage, and live life the way they were intended to live.They are also fed 🌱organic grains🌽. The result is rich, flavorful, sustainable pork. 🥓 Pork will be available for purchase at the Town of Niskayuna's Farmers Market NEXT SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20. It will also be available for purchase/pick up at our farm, and we can ship as well. Message for details!
