There are many ways I choose wineries for our luxury wine tours. One way is that I join wine clubs in Europe & have wines sent to me to try in Spain.

When I have my favorites from unique wine denominations, I plan visits with our clients.

This wine denomination is DO Empordà in the province of Catalonia, Spain. It is my pick this evening to enjoy. It is a blend of Syrah, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon & Tempranillo.

This wine 🍷 has inspired me to expand our tour offerings in Spain to get another area. Salud!

Frascati is one of Italy’s oldest and most historic wine regions, located in the hills southeast of Rome in the Castelli Romani area. 🏺🍇

Winemaking in Frascati dates back more than 2,000 years, with evidence that the ancient Romans cultivated vineyards here to supply wine to the capital. 🏺🍇

The region’s volcanic soils, created by ancient eruptions, provide ideal conditions for growing white grape varieties such as Malvasia and Trebbiano. 🏺🍇

During the Renaissance, Frascati wines became favorites among popes, nobility, and visitors to Rome. Today, Frascati DOCG is best known for producing fresh, aromatic white wines that reflect its long-standing winemaking heritage. 🏺🍇

The combination of history, terroir, and proximity to Rome has made Frascati a cornerstone of Lazio’s wine culture for centuries. 🏺🍇

This is why we absolutely love DOCG Frascati at 🏺🍇

Right in my courtyard this morning. putting on an incredible event showcasing our artisan quality jamón (ham) legs in Spain 🇪🇸.

Fun fact about Spanish jamón (ham). The top quality varieties are acorn fed to improve their flavor.

My favorite variety of Spanish ham is Jamón de Bellota Pata Negra. Absolutely worth a try when sampling Spanish jamón (ham).
