Worth the Wait Farm

Worth the Wait Farm We farm about 200 acres, rented and owned. Everyday is an adventure! June 1, 2010 Christian began milking his freshly purchased herd of mature dairy cows.

We are a small family owned farm with 4 children, about 90 dairy cows (44 actively milking), 2 commercial organic broiler houses (chickens), and the occasional pig or 2. Since then, the farm and herd have both grown to include young stock, more ground and a wife, Laura. Chris and Laura both work full time on the farm and each day is busy working to take care of their animals and crops and improve

their farm. Worth the Wait Farm strives to produce high quality milk and crops. The milk they produce is sent to Maryland and Virginia Co-op which provides milk to places such as Starbucks and Wawa.

It's rainy outside but nice and dry in the cow tent. If you're at the fair tonight stop in and see Ginger and Boomerang

In case you missed it, Chris's Facebook was hacked awhile ago. Unfriend and delete any messages from him. Feel free to report his page if you want. He has not made a new page so ignore any friends requests too. Seems like the dude who hacked it has been reaching out to people again.

Our Story

June 1, 2010 Chris began milking his freshly purchased herd of mature dairy cows and Worth the Wait Farm was established. Not too long after, Chris and Laura met. Since then the farm has grown to include young dairy stock, chickens, more crop ground, and a family. Two organic chicken houses were added in 2016 and Worth the Wait began raising broiler (meat) chickens. Today, both Chris and Laura work full time on the farm while raising three wonderful children. Each day is busy taking care of the animals and land while continuing to improve their farm and the impact it has. The milk they produce is sold through Maryland and Virginia Co-op, known as Maola Milk in grocery stores, and the chickens are grown for Coleman Natural, which is part of the Perdue family. Worth the Wait Farm strives to produce high quality milk and poultry that is safe and nutritious, in a way that is both environmentally and economically sustainable.

Thank you for taking the time to connect with us. We welcome any questions you have and hope you enjoy this small glimpse into our farming world.
