Congratulations Paco's Taco Express for winning best sandwich!!

You know how food always tastes best when it’s made with love? That is why this sandwich is so good. Chauncey, the mastermind behind this winning sandwich, sadly passed from this earth in April. But now, each time it’s ordered, the team at Paco’s Tacos makes a special effort to honor his legacy.

Chauncey created a winner and we are thrilled that it will continue on the menu.

Congratulations El Mirador en el Rio! You won over the hearts of so many voters who loved your gluten-free options in the Vegan Chef Challenge!

The restaurant is beautiful, location is perfect and the food delicious. Add to this an amazing staff and options for every food preference and it’s no wonder that you’re a winner!!

Congratulations to BrightSide Kitchen for being named Most Crave-worthy restaurant in the vegan chef challenge. Voters loved the breakfast bagel feast, the lunch tan-tan seitan sandwich and the amazing ramen dinner.

While those exact specials are only memories, Brightside continues to offer a vegan schmear (or an unlisted peanut butter and jelly option) for the bagels, and the easily veganize-able “Birdless” sandwich. Ramen pop-ups usually feature vegan options too.

Normal hours for both bagels and lunch are Thursday-Sunday. Follow their socials for ramen pop-ups.

Congrats to Curly Shawarma! A new entrant to this year’s Vegan Chef Challenge, and they earned a lot of love and the title of best value!!

The falafel wrap is huge and amazing, the curly fries are crispy and flavorful, and that hummus!!

All that good food and a friendly welcome, we’re fans!

We were blown away when we saw Burger Barge’s new vegan menu. I mean it’s huge — with appies, burgers, desserts and drinks! The actual food is amazing and requires multiple trips to try it all.

If you like a chill, laid-back setting with a beach vibe and the nicest servers head to Burger Barge in East Peoria.

And as if this wasn’t all impressive enough. They will be expanding the vegan options to make it more kid friendly!! Can’t love this place more!
