Merry Christmas from Highstreet Farm! Christmas Eve brought us our first baby emu hatch. He/she is looking for a new home now that it is a week old and has had a solid start. He/she is incredibly sweet. The Egg shell can be sent out for DNA testing to see if it’s a male or female. We also have 3 hatching eggs available for purchase if you would like to hatch your own. New eggs are being laid every 3 days. Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year to all 2 and 4 legged creatures

Operation get my husband back = success!

2 years ago Lucy decided that Ryan was her boyfriend and I became public enemy number one. Being on the bad side of an emu is scary business! We decided to get a male to see if we could help with her confusion and get our sweet girl back. Otis is now almost 2 years old and he recently started targeting Ryan to prove he was top emu. It looks like Otis has won the way to Lucy’s heart and Ryan can go back to being mine…even better news is Lucy doesn’t hate me any more. Fingers crossed there is no bad blood between Otis and Ryan.

These 3 beautiful gifts she started laying are cherry on top. Let’s hope Otis is truly doing his job and we can hatch some baby dinosaurs. This is one of my farming dreams come true!

Looking for new homes.
1. 3 year old Nubian doe. Her name is Morticia. She’s a big beautiful beast but our buck is too small for her.

2. Nugora buckling. (Nubian-angora mixed) will have beautiful cashmere fiber. Blue eyes.

3. Nubian bottle bucklings. 1 brown badger with blue eyes, 1 white with blue eyes. Raised around kids and so sweet! Mom had quads so we pulled 2 to make it easier on her.

We Have some incredibly adorable babies ready for new homes NOW!
1. We have the sweetest Nubian/angora doeling bottle baby (the kids have named her gremlin). She is a doll!
2. We also have a Nygora doeling (angora/nigerian mix) She already has great cashmere fiber.
3. 7 kunekune piglets. This breed is so docile and friendly. They make great pets but are also a meat pig. Not as large as feeders. But their meat is very tender.

Our Christmas Eve surprise…a baby goat. She was crying in the pasture…cleaned off and fed but no mama to be found. We thought we may have a bottle baby for a second but it turns out Mama left her with the cat to get some grub. Once reunited mom and baby have been doing great!
