Just a glimpse into some (not all!) of the things we get up to on a Monday.

We are loving the cool mornings and sunny days. Our barn storage is full of carrots, beets, onions and garlic and the fields are being seeded to winter cover crop before the rain.

Exciting updates for Homeplace Farm. We are opening a Farm Store!

We have been working hard behind the scenes to get this lifelong dream of a project going. Groundbreaking has started and we hope to open sometime next year! I’ve been noticing what I think of, as the behind the scenes spots around the farm these days. The tiny toad in the dead bean detritus, the buildings that store our many tools, the view from atop a ladder, our compost pile. There is so much that goes into running a farm every day, sometimes it feels like the power of this farm comes from its more messy parts. Happy mid September friends! Tis the season for piles.
