Not all eggs are created equal — here’s what those labels actually mean 🥚👇

🐔 Regular (Conventional) Eggs
These are your typical grocery store eggs. Hens are usually kept in cages with limited space, no outdoor access, and are fed a standard grain-based diet. This is the most cost-efficient method of production — but also the most restrictive for the birds.

🐔 Cage-Free Eggs
Sounds better, right? And it is… slightly. Cage-free hens aren’t kept in cages, but they’re still typically housed indoors in large barns. They can move around, but they often don’t have outdoor access. So while they have more freedom than caged hens, it’s still a crowded indoor environment.

🌱🐔 Pasture-Raised Eggs🌟🌟🌟
This is the gold standard. Pasture-raised hens spend most of their time outdoors with room to roam, forage, eat bugs, and live more naturally. Their diet is more diverse, which often leads to richer yolks and more nutrient-dense eggs.

💡 Why it matters:

- Animal welfare 🐓
- Nutrition (pasture-raised eggs often have more omega-3s and vitamins)
- Taste (those deep orange yolks aren’t just for looks)
