Sometimes breeding plans change… and sometimes they change at the VERY last minute.

I had a completely different plan for this yearling, but after staring at her, staring at my bucks, and changing my mind about 15 times 😂… I decided to go a different direction and do a linebreeding on CH Old Mountain Farm Dalton Quinn.

This girl certainly doesn’t need to prove much. She placed 4th at the 2026 ADGA National Show, went Reserve Junior Champion at the MDGA show, and, most importantly to me, was chosen Best Junior Overall by ALL THREE judges at that same show. ❤️

And she is NO shorty. She has plenty of length herself.
But then I put Hilltown Meadows WeRideAtDawn — aka Ryder next to her…

The LENGTH on that buck! Seeing the two of them standing together pretty much finished the decision for me.

Now I REALLY want to see what these two can produce.

I do have one open reservation for a doe kid from this breeding if anyone is interested.

Our 2027 Breeding Schedule is up! ❤️🐐

I’ve spent a lot of time looking at each doe, studying what I want to improve, and deciding which buck I think will complement her best. Some are repeat combinations, some are completely new, and a few I’m especially excited to see!

Nothing is set in stone yet — because goats always have their own opinions about our carefully made plans. 😂🤦‍♀️ But some does are already confirmed bred, and if everything goes according to plan, we’ll start kidding in January!

As always, my goal is to keep improving general appearance, strong front ends, length of body, level rumps, and mammary systems while producing the kind of Nigerian Dwarf that I personally love to see in my barn.

And looking at this schedule, I already know I’ll probably be spending my days AND nights at the barn during kidding season. 😂🤦‍♀️
