Well Hallelujah Whispering Will has his own cam & his own room with a view. IThe vet gave me some antibiotics (after our 4 hour drive-and way too much to spend on a rooster.). Better than a bill close to $1,000. For amputating his toe….

Please send healings to him. 🙏🏼🫶🏼✨💜

I am grateful to my neighbor who helped me set up a place for him away from others so he wouldn’t get picked on. He’s to be on pea gravel for the comfort of his feet in this size of a space.

Poor baby- his foot is infected and hot. I soaked him tonight in warm Eason salt for 20 min (& got a bath- but he’s good with it.

Have been giving him some healthy snacks, upping his protein and and giving him some liquid vitamins for chickens. He’s such a good boy and tolerates my administration. Can’t believe I can put a pill down his throat but 10 people couldn’t do Calli, my cat.

The babies love their soaked feed with probiotics and their black soldier fly larva (epic amounts of protein for them!). They are so sweet! & maybe I only have 1 rooster, who’s name is Abnyss- according to my granddaughter.

The Tri-coop kids go theirs all cleaned out too and went to help spread the hay around in the 3 rd run while I locked the other flocks in the tunnel and their clean coral. Happy babies- should cut way back on smell and flies and up cleanliness!

Did a crazy amount of work today- wow! Luckily I got a hot tub! The girls are gonna be real happy!

Changing out the chicken runs, cleaning, prepping with an anti microbial product and some dust to prevent buggies. Will be adding bark chips and then rice straw in the 3rd coral. Will get some help from the girls in distributing it down the tunnel to the bottom corral-

Solar done on the Philo Grandmas’ Farm!!! Thank the gods! 4 mo project! But hey - got to plug in our new electric car to our electric home charger and have it be all charged up by our panels!!
