Imagine this: You go outside and see baby pigs in the deep mud. What would a rational person do? Nothing. What does a Farm Wife do? Put her boots on and go save them little squealing things.🐷💪

Normal people use their bathtubs for relaxing bubble baths. Around here, it's a high-stakes neonatal ICU. When a mama pig goes on strike, it's all hands on deck. Six kids helping, a bathtub full of piglets, and a living room bucket station powered by my good hair dryer because we do whatever it takes to keep those sweet babies warm. 🛁💨

It takes a lot of husband-and-wife teamwork to corner an angry sow, a lot of prayers that tomorrow is a better day, and a heavy dose of hope that we don't have to look our kids in the eye and tell them the babies we worked so hard to save didn't make it.

So if you see a farmer looking a little off, staring into space, or acting a bit unhinged this week—give them grace. Give them extra time and just let their crazy go. You have absolutely no clue what kind of rescue mission they were running the night before. 🌾❤️

Well, it only took three nervous breakdowns and a minor miracle, but we finally got a count on these piglets! 🥳🐷

I am officially declaring the number is 15+. Because if you have ever tried to count a swarm of hyperactive, zooming piglets, you know it is basically like trying to count popcorn while it’s popping. If it turns out to be exactly 15, I am completely fine with that. I am absolutely not recounting. 🛑😂

The absolute best part? The kids went out, sat patiently in the dirt, and actually managed to get one piglet cut from the group so they could cuddle her for a bit. Watching them snuggling that tiny piglet... man, what I wouldn't give to be young, carefree, and immune to farm germs again! 💕🐽🌾

Feeding over ripe cobs of sweet corn with our 11 year old driving the pickup down the field. She did a great job!

Cows and pigs are eating good for a couple days! About 3000 cobs of over ripe sweet corn and they are loving it!
