Sometimes you can't keep a good bull penned.

Frontiera's Pavarotti decided he had enough of his weaning sentence and it was time to break open the steel gate by bending the steel sliding arm lock so he could join calves on the other side.

Clever boy.

Fortunately, his Impact Dam ( J Bar T Maddie), in another pen, encouraged him to return to his weaning pen and rejoin Frontiera's Milano and serve out his weaning time.

After a prolonged drought from September 2025 of only 1 inch of precipitation and grass hay reaching $285/ton (over 80 percent increase) if you can find it ( last semi load came from over 4 hours away), we are finally getting much belated days of rain and greening. May the prairie grasslands grow!

These two fine boys will become available in 10 days after weaning. Frontiera's Pavarotti AHCA 72654 (Sired by Magic of Camel Creek(D) of Dundonald lineage and Impact Dam J Bar T's Maddie) and Frontiera's Milano AHCA 72601 (Sired by SHP Lincoln (PV,D), Dam very stout RiverCity Dani Girl (D)).

Pedicures for the ladies.

Saturday was hoof trimming day for 11 of Frontiera's beautiful ladies. Despite being introduced to views of the world from a different angle, all handled it well and now have a spring in their step.

Best part of the day was when the expert trimmer Carl's daughters got to help feed Frontiera's calves.
