We are fortunate with the position of the bluff to get both sunrise and sunsets. Tonight's sunset over C**n Gulf / Guntersville Lake / Tennessee River from Kim's sunset rock.

This weekend, thanks to Destin Padgett, Wild Place Homestead & Kim Lutz-Jones, this place we call home leaned into its name with the plant sale+. Tanasi is Cherokee for "Gathering Place", "Bend in the River", and the foundation of the name of the state that many of our bluff views point towards. We truly enjoyed the company and the sense of community established by the gathering of nearby small farmers, artisans, and food makers that were here this weekend. Kim was doing yoga classes and private hands-on-stretches, while painting lessons and portraits were happening simultaneously.

Even bocce with a view is gaining steam on top of Sand Mountain. We're thinking a bocce league is in the making, complete with pizza, beer, wine, lemonade, & sweet tea. Dominic's on the Square - Want to partner or have a seasonal pop-up?

Special thanks to Jackson County Tourism & others for promoting our community event.

We are very excited to be hosting the 2026 Spring Wild Place Homestead Plant Sale this weekend. Destin Padgett has done an amazing job curating a great group of small famers & artisans (soap, jewelers, skincare, bakers, coffee makers, painters).

Stop by 2040 County Rd 357, Pisgah, AL this weekend to buy Mom a unique treat, take a painting lesson, have some good coffee to complement the amazing local baked goods, or have a picnic and take in our views.

Kim is teaching yoga classes on both days at 9a, as well as offering sports stretch therapy throughout the day.

If you can get here this weekend, we'd love to see you! (Jackson County Tourism)

By the end of May, no one will recognize the lower meadows. Today, we began hauling in 250 tons of chert to build the barn pad. The remaining containers forming the core of the structure arrive on Tuesday, and the gambrel barn trusses will follow in mid to late May. Once complete, the barn will house our Pyrenees pups, sheep, chickens, and a donkey. Momentum is building!
