A second-generation Italian American, Jason’s passion for Italy began long before Medici was ever a vision. Sitting on his grandfather Nicola Russo’s lap, he learned that food and wine were never simply about what was on the table. They were about family, heritage, craftsmanship, connection, and the stories passed down from one generation to the next.
With more than 25 years in the food and beverage industry, Jason founded Medici Importers Global to bring the soul of Italy closer to home: connecting discerning restaurants, retailers, and wine lovers with exceptional wines and authentic products chosen for their history, character, and sense of place.
He has walked the vineyards, met the artisans, and experienced firsthand the passion behind the products he represents. For Jason, this isn’t simply an import business. It is a calling to preserve tradition, honor craftsmanship, and share a piece of Italy with every bottle opened and every table gathered around.
