A small-batch Southern Italian gin and six ways to enjoy it this weekend

Ten-hour road round trip this past Monday, up to Boston and back, for a trade show with one of my dear distributors, Ruby Wines. Before I left, I put together some of my favorite cocktails to bring the spirits to life: a bergamot old fashioned, bergamot gin lemon martini, and a natural negroni (not colored red!).

Getting there and setting up the table always brings a bit of a rush, and seeing familiar faces from the distributor and from other brands I’ve come to know over the years is one of my favorite parts. A lot of people stopped by asking about the spirits and spritzers, which meant two things: my voice was gone and I didn’t get any time for dinner. Also fun to see people lining up at the end asking for spritzer cans to take home :)

Packed up at 10 pm, back home in less than three hours, unpacked and in bed by two. Then up again to make breakfast and take my two boys to their first day of school... which was the best!
