I’ve been going hard since mid January harvesting and sharing blooms with my hilltown community. And washing buckets is part of that work. Today is the first day in four months I’m not delivering flowers or setting up my stand. I am washing buckets. And getting some seedlings planted. Slower pace is good. Our farm stand is on hiatus for a few weeks. See you first weekend of June.

I'm fairly certain this is how I will feel if you tell me you bought supermarket, whole foods, trader joe - or whatever your choice of big box source of cheap, dehydrated, chemically propped up flowers, flown across tundra and water, and grown by people who may not be fairly compensated - instead of supporting my (or your local) pollinator friendly, sustainably grown, and design forward offerings. And I forgive you. We all have to do what we have to do to bring joy to people we love. Flowers bring joy. We need more of that now. - Picture of me on my great grandmother's lap circa 1968

Fun fact: fish emulsion fertilizer does wonders for seedlings but beware the attraction factor for curious snouts. Luckily we have replacement seedlings. AND our Mother’s Day flower offerings were out of bounds. We’re open Saturday and Sunday with farm stand market bouquets, petite posies, and our special Mother’s Day offerings.
